WiNG version 4.0 Licensing_Configuration

Components Used:

The information in this document is based on the following Motorola hardware and software versions:
1 x RFS6000 or RFS7000 Version 4.0

License Key Acquisition:

When a feature license is purchased for an RF Switch, Motorola will ship a license certificate which includes a serial number that can be entered on the mySymbolOrder.com website to generate a license key. When registering the serial number, the Motorola on-line licensing system will require the RF Switches serial number which will associate the new feature license and license key to a specific RF Switch.

 License Acquisition Example:


The following will demonstrate how to acquire new license keys for each licensed feature using the MySymbolOrder.symbol.com web site:







License Key Installation:


Once a feature license key has been generated by the MySymbolOrder website, it will be provided on-line as well as forwarded in an email. Feature license keys can be installed on an RF Switch using Web-UI or CLI.

Web UI Configuration Example:

The following configuration example will demonstrate how to install Access Point, Adaptive Access Point, Advanced Security and Locationing Application licenses on an RF Switch using the Web UI:
